Geometrid Moths of Europe (GME/INGE)

Kooperationsprojekt mit Apollo Books, Stenstrup, (P. Skou), ETI, Amsterdam (“Expert Center for Taxonomic Identification”, Dr. R. Heijman), dem Zool. Bot. Institut, Tartu, Estland (Dr. J. Viidalepp) und dem ‘Zoological Institute of Russia’, St. Petersburg (Dr. V.G. Mironov). Im Rahmen des Projektes soll eine umfassende monographische Bearbeitung aller Geometriden Europas (ca. 950 Arten) erfolgen, differentialdiagnostische Merkmale und Daten zu Verbreitung und Ökologie zusammengestellt werden, sowie nomenklatorische Verfügbarkeit und taxonomische Validität aller publizierten Namen kontrolliert werden.

Der Münchener Teil des Projektes (Vol. 1, Vol. 2) wurde im Rahmen des Biolog-Programmes als drittmittelfinanziertes Projekt (“Inventur der Geometriden Europas”, BIOLOG/EDIS/INGE) in den Jahren 2000-2003 gefördert. Die Buchreihe “The Geometrid Moths of Europe” zielt auf die Bereitstellung von Bestimmungshilfen für Profi’s und Amateurentomologen. Die Serie wird in 6 Bänden erscheinen:
