Section Hemiptera

In this section the following insect orders are curated:

Hemiptera (Hetereoptera, Auchenorhyncha, Sternorrhyncha), Orthoptera (Ensifera, Caelifera), Mantodea, and Phasmatodea.

Altogether the collection contains about 13,000 species, including 1,600 Auchenorrhyncha, 1,000 Sternorryncha, 7,500 Heteroptera, 2,000 Saltatoria, 350 Phasmatodea and 550 Mantodea.
